Part III: Cigarettes

The product of choice is cigarettes. Cigarettes are regarded as dirty death sticks and in my opinion they are. I have not known of any other substance that is socially accepted to cause so much harm and consumer dependence to the point of the death. The positives of cigarettes are; the atrocious smell, yellow fingers loss of taste and smell and exorbitant cost of smoking.

On the course of looking for an object that offers rich sensory information cigarettes represent to the smoking population; a place of peace that to non-smokers don't see. Cigarettes bless people with an opportunity to indulge the sense of touch, fell and [taste] that is actually empowering. Generally a cigarette break is a good excuse for the subconscious part of the brain to re-align and resolve problems that the conscious is processing and the only other time this is done just as well is when some one is in a total state of peace i.e. asleep or tunned out.

I can appreciate the value of what smoking enriches the participant with but I also know the cost at what is comes at, which is the irreversible forgoing of the sense of taste and smell for a new taste [nicotine and tar] and feel [the enactment of holding a cigarette and bring it to your mouth and so on] The experience is parcelled by a certain emotions triggered by cigarettes that embed in the mind of the smoker as a good experience and sensory stimuli.
